After months of planning and logistics, we loaded a 20’ shipping container with our belongings during the 3 hottest days of the summer in Santa Barbara, CA. We said good-bye to our home of almost 10 years and hit the road last fall.
Two days later, we arrived in Bozeman, MT
We rented a workshop near the Cannery District to work on the LX450 and the Unimog while our camper is being built by Aerocontinental, LLC.
Some fun tidbits about Bozeman:
Bozeman, MT was founded by John M. Bozeman in 1864.
Our neighbors have chickens and a small friendly pig in their yard. Well, unless you try to reach through the fence to pet him.
There are horses everywhere.
There are fences made out of skis around town
The Bozeman Maze is a straw bale maze tradition started in 1998. They have done 13 mazes since 1998.
There are many Distilleries, breweries and Kombucha bars.
Our LX450 fits right in. There are snorkels, truck campers and roof top tents all over the place here.
It’s not uncommon to see a dead deer strapped to a Subaru driving down Main Street.
My thoughts:
I like the City of Bozeman. I’m glad we got a chance to live there for a few months. The scenery is beautiful, the people are welcoming and we got a chance to reconnect with old friends and develop new friendships.
